Meet the Team

Dr. Billings graduated with academic honors from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1983. He also received the Quintessence Book Award Scholarship his senior year for excellence in restorative dentistry. The Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodonic Society awarded him for his technique ability as well. In 1986, he moved to Calvert County and practiced in Dunkirk for 19 years. Dr. Billings now moved to his new practice in 2006 right off of Chaneyville Road.

He has been a proud father raising three wonderful children these past 25 years. He has lead both sons as head coach for Babe Ruth little league for over 10 years. Michael, his eldest, went to DeMatha Catholic High School, attended Washington College on the eastern shore, and then graduated from University of Maryland School of Dentistry 2009. Michael has worked with his father at the Owings office and has his own office in Edgewater. Dr Billings' daughter, Erin, went to Northern High School and graduated from Towson University with a major in Theatrical Studies 2006. His youngest child, John, went to DeMatha Catholic High School, attended Gettysburg College and is a graduate of Catholic University Law School 2013.

Maria moved to Calvert County in 1996 with her husband and two daughters. Both daughters graduated from Northern High School.

Maria has over 25 years of experience as a dental assistant. She says 'I believe in providing quality patient care in a warm and friendly environment'. Maria is certified in CPR and Dental Radiology.

The highlight of Marias' life is spending time with her grandaughters Ava and Layla.

Shannon obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004 at University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. She joined our team in April 2012 shortly after moving into the county.

Shannon's passion for hygiene is fueled by the positive clinical results she obtains. Building lasting reltationships with patients is another key to her success.

Outside of work, Shannon is a busy mom who enjoys spending time with her daughter Shelby and her yellow lab Max.

Susan received her dental assistance degree at Tacoma Park, Maryland and then went on to recieve her Bachelor of Sciece degree in Environmental Sciences at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She started her carreer as a dental assistant in 1976 and has been working with Dr. Billings for 22 years.

Susan also has five children. Lisa, Jeffery, Joe, Kayt, and Allie are a byproduct of the Calvert County School System and have gone on to pursue their careers. Within the past few years she has been blessed with five grandchildren.
